The inaugural Yes, Ann Improv Festival brought four unforgettable days of comedy, creativity, and community to Ann Arbor. More than 50 teams and 250 performers from across Michigan and around the country took the stage at Michigan Theater and Hear.Say Theater, filling both venues with incredible shows, enthusiastic audiences, and plenty of memorable moments.
From four major headlining shows to a packed lineup of showcases featuring every style of improv imaginable, Year One was everything we hoped it could be and more.

For Yes, Ann Improv Fest, rising comedy star Anna Garcia returns to Ann Arbor with an all-star lineup of friends and collaborators for a night of bold, unscripted comedy.
Together, this cast features performers known for their work with Dropout, Smosh, the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and more, bringing together some of the most exciting voices in improv today.
This special monoscene performance starts with a single audience suggestion and builds one continuous story from beginning to end. One scene. No resets. Just a playful, fully improvised world where characters connect, stories unfold, and anything can happen.

Holy Sh!t Improv is a wild, watch-it-to-believe-it showcase featuring top comedy talent performing regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.
The show brings together standout improvisers and seasoned UCB veterans known for their work on stage and screen for a night of fast, funny, unpredictable comedy that often has audiences yelling exactly what the name promises.
Audiences love it for its smart, silly, “so good you won’t believe it’s completely improvised” energy.

The Improvised Shakespeare Company® is one of the most critically-acclaimed improv troupes in the world. It was founded in Chicago in 2005 where its hit show, Improvised Shakespeare Chicago℠ still runs today.
Based on one audience suggestion (a title of a show that has never been written), The Improvised Shakespeare Company® creates a brand new, fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece right before your eyes. Nothing has been planned out, rehearsed, or written. All of the dialogue is said for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if you're ever wondering where the story is going...so are they! You've never seen the Bard like this before!

Yes, Also All Stars is a high-energy improv showcase led by comedian Suzi Barrett, creator and host of the beloved Yes, Also podcast, a joyfully nerdy deep dive into the craft, philosophy, and wild ride of improvisation.
For this special performance, the cast will be joined by Detroit broadcasting legend Chuck Gaidica, who will share stories from his decades in media to inspire a completely improvised comedy show.
Featuring performers known for their work on Superstore, Key & Peele, legendary improv stages across the country, and Dropout favorites like Game Changer and Make Some Noise, this ensemble brings sharp instincts, big laughs, and playful creativity to the stage.
Expect fast, funny, completely improvised scenes from a group of performers you rarely get to see all on the same stage.
